i did a lot of research yesterday on the characters mentioned in the essay i am basing this piece in part on. it turns out that Cusanus was a bishop, mathematician, philosopher and the first one to suggest planets do not move in circular orbits. he also has a set of craters on the moon named after him, so the previously randomly generated circles are now a scaled map of those crater positions. in the essay he and sadie each think the other is a dream so i have superimposed a second small set of circles over the city of the dead where she lives. i have also broken ullyse's path due to the tracings and retracing of the city over it.
