for some time now i've wanted to try some of the recipes of the amazingly creative/talented baker leonor de sousa bastos whose food creations are matched by the photos taken by her boyfriend of them. these cookies have just 4 ingredients and the whole wheat flour used causes them to be slightly nutty and have an unexpected texture. i think the next time i make them i will heavily spice them with cinnamon/nutmeg/cardamom and pepper.
i rolled them out a bit thicker than she calls for but i don't think that is to their detriment.
