finally finished with the 3rd piece for Arbor Aid. this one is made from walnut, cherry and pine cutoffs i had down in my workshop. the drawer is a small type case (with about 12 divisions inside it) i picked up, constructed of walnut. Arbor Aid will be held November 10th. more details as i receive them.
i do like the slim proportion (11" x 58' x 30") on this one as well as the darker areas of the walnut top which draw your eye to the drawer. the small curve on the front apron was jus for fun, nicely softens the front profile i think.
there is an odd striation to the cherry which forms the front apron, the lighter wood grain seems to be dripping down onto the darker wood grain
