Tea Tray

I finished this commission the other day for a local tea house. This is a chinese tea pouring tray, used to overfill cups of tea. Excess tea drips down into a catch basin under the wooden grill (The basin can then slide out along two rails dadoed in the sides of the tray. I used eucalyptus for this project and learned a number of new skills along the way. Interesting project. Wondering now how to apply the new found knowledge in another project.
