work in progress - winter trees book

some photos of stage 1 and 3 of a new artist book i've been working on today. (unfortunately stage 2 photos were taken at that special time of day when my camera cannot figure out its light levels so they are way too underexposed)

the idea for this came to me last night and is based in part on the fabulous work going on over at Nobrow. i've been wanting to try a multiple stage lino print set for awhile now and after looking at some prints i made 2 years ago i was ready to try something new today. the images are of winter trees at various hours. there are 8 images in each book and it is a limited edition of 4 copies. book size is 11" x 7.125". i made the images horizontal in a larger horizontal space, for, i hope, a letterbox effect. the copies are drying downstairs now and i'll bind them in the next day or two once i create a french flap cover for them.
