tonight's dessert - clementine sorbet


today's recipe was randomly chosen and will be thoroughly enjoyed. clementines are still in season at the grocery store and this recipe uses a lot of them (approx 15)

clementine ice cream
3 cups clementine juice
3/4 cup sugar
zest from 1 or two clementines

simmer 1/2 cup of the juice with the sugar in a non-reactive saucepan until the sugar is dissolved. pour back into remaining juice, add zest, chill and use your ice cream maker.
