slices of pound cake alternating with rainier cherries and raspberries
and soaked in a sauce made from:
2tbl lemon juice
2tbl honey (wild mountain sage, for those keeping track)
2tbl rosewater
stack cake and fruit, drizzle with sauce
i think if i do this again i will actually cut 1/3 of a loaf of pound cake and cookiecutter a hole down the middle to put the fruit in then drizzle the cake with the sauce. might be more elegant and hold up better.
