inspired by some recent music i have been listening to (especially this track) i have begun some larger format abstract works in oil pastel. not sure yet if it will become a large folio book or they will just be a framed series. it is a departure to work in a larger scale form the previous oil pastel work in my artist books produced of the course of this year. these new pieces have color thickly layered allowing me more freedom to smudge and smear and blend everything. mulling over naming them right now.
