my friend sharon asked me recently to build a bench for the hallway leading to their sun porch. i happened to come across some natural planks of sycamore that were reclaimed from fallen trees and thought they would work very well. neither was wide enough to use singularly for the top so i mirror image reversed them for some aesthetic balance. this bench had a few challenges for me in the design and construction and i learned some new things. a good project all in all.
