having built enough tables for the time being i decided to try a bookcase out. dimensions: 42" x 12" x 26"h and constructed in reclaimed maple and pine with dowel joint construction.
this maple has a gorgeous grain to it and i decided to leave the shelf and upright support in their natural state with a large heart shaped knot showing and outer barkside edge. it will be a piece in the upcoming 'arbor aid' show, which has the theme of reveal, and i am taking that more literally with this piece. for sale after the gallery show, if no one buys it then.
whatever will i build next hmmmmm........
