work in progress - merwin book

i've been spending last night and today doing some abstract monotone prints (though i guess since some of them have 3 colors on them they would be tritone prints) for a new artist book i am working on using the poem 'east of the sun, west of the moon' by w.s. merwin from his 2nd book of poetry.

the idea behind this book involves the oral tradition of poetry and mythtelling, where the basics of the story are set down over time but each poet/bard/orator enhances where he or she will. each of the 3 editions of this book will contain the same prints, but the prints themselves differ to some degree from book to book. look for the finished version soon.
